An implantable heart rhythm monitor is a device only capable of recording an electrocardiographic tracing at the time of symptoms or if an abnormal heart rhythm has been detected automatically. This diagnostic device has no therapeutic role, whatever the degree of urgency. It is therefore very important to understand how it works and to contact the implanting center soon after having registered a symptom. Likewise, it is very important to transmit regularly if your center follows you remotely because it is possible that episodes have been stored automatically.
